London

It’s a whole different feeling arriving on a train to a city with 8.9 million people. We arrived on our nice GWR train and had to transfer to a local train, then to the tube.

The London Train Map

Underground Tube Map

We asked a “ask me for help” mate and he looked like one of the Beatles in their “mop top hair” days and I couldn’t see his face. Jeff got the details and he pointed to the tube map. I was mesmerized by the map and the train lines and hoped we’d find our stop.

We need to find the Elizabeth Line and then take the North train to our stop. I almost jumped on the wrong South line but Jeff yelled. Two stops later we were at our stop.

We found the exit, fired up the googler and BONUS we were only a few short blocks to our hotel. Super cool place in the heart of the Theater district.

View from our room

We settled in and then decided it was time to check out the neighborhood, find Covent Garden and get something to eat.

It’s an experience, a shopping Mecca, rows and rows of anything and everything you could want even if you didn’t need it.
