We had to say “good-bye & until we meet again” to our fabulous travel buddies Randy & Michael.
Goodbye to Scotland & off to catch the train to Shrewsbury, England. A good base for a week to travel the towns and Snowden Mountains of Wales.
Nice to travel 1st because they feed you and take such good care of you. We were on time to Crewe and just had to hop off and hop on the next train on the same track. BONUS
We arrived on time and took a taxi to our B&B Darwin’s Townhouse.
Got a nice tour of this charming place. There’s an honor bar, lots of comfy sitting rooms and a place to unpack for the week. We’ll get whatever we want for breakfast and we’ve been hankering for porridge. Never saw a Scottish oat 😩
Shrewsbury is a market town and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It was settled in 901. It is sited on the River Severn, 33 miles (53 km) northwest of Wolverhampton, 15 miles (24 km) west of Telford, 31 miles (50 km) southeast of Wrexham and 53 miles (85 km) north of Hereford. At the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 76,782. It is the county town of the ceremonial county of Shropshire.

We walked a bit & found a nice Tapas restaurant in town and had a nice meal & pitcher of Sangria 🇪🇸 (cheers to vanSon’s)
Tomorrow we’re taking the train to Wolverhampton to meet up with our cousin Eileen. So looking forward to catching up…it’s been too long
