Fiesole is a town and comune of the Metropolitan City of Florence in the Italian region of Tuscany, on a scenic height above Florence, 5 km northeast of that city. It has structures dating to Etruscan and Roman times.
If you are planning a trip to Florence and want to stay outside of the busy city center, find a place in Fiesole. The piazza is a few minutes walk and for 2 Euros you can be in Firenze on the #7 bus.
Last night was a perfect evening on our lil patio with a glass of wine, a Tuscan sunset and a concert in the ancient Roman amphitheater.

Today we took the speed train to Venice.
There are heat warnings across Italy so we’ll chill the rest of the day and head out early for a walk around Venice, with an afternoon adventure to Padua. Friday the islands and glass factories…
