Amsterdam & Plan B

It’s always about being ready for Plan B, C and hopefully not D

This morning we looked at the train times for tomorrow to get to Den Bosch for the Solheim Cup accommodations and Jeff noticed a “change” in place for our 90 minute train ride to a 6 hour, with 4 bus changes replacement.

Guess what is planned for tomorrow

💩 now what

Rent a car one way

Can’t even get rental agencies to answer their phones.

Websites all say not available for one way drop off

Car rental out of the question

Jeff asks AI Doc for car services. We put in a request for a quote and wait.

In the meantime we have a timed ticket for the World Press Photo Exhibit at the Nieuwe Kerk Museum and it’s pouring ☔️

TICK TOCK

No answer on the quote yet so we grab our brellies and head over.

The exhibit displays the images that captured the year’s biggest news stories, human experiences and events.

It was gut wrenching to view the world’s events from just this year. The world has so so so much sadness, wars, unrest, evil, hunger, homelessness, destruction and hate and the last showed what ICE is doing to destroy innocent immigrants lives in our country.

This banner summed up a resounding YES from us! We all need to be aware and know what’s happening in the world.

We need to keep our eyes open and do what we can to make the world a better place in any way we can, big or small. It matters!!!!!

Whew that not easy…but at the end they gave you a piece of paper to write how you felt after seeing the photos from the events of 2026. It helped…therapeutic for sure!

We didn’t make it through the other exhibit our Plan B or C needed to get resolved.

The answer arrived from the first car service. No cars available. 🤯

We high tailed it back to our home away from home for better internet…

We got a hold of a car service and booked a ride to Den Bosch tomorrow morning. It’s way more expensive than our train ticket but “it is what it is.”

100% ☔️

We need to pick up a few things and deserved a treat. Good to get fresh air (laced with pot 😝) and sometimes “things” just make you smile, like a true Holland Bike!!

The rains not letting up so next up Dutch Mini Pancakes and back to our couch.

Everything felt a lil off today and the museum reminded us that we must pay attention, but also have HOPE. We must do something, no matter how small to make the world a better place.

Tomorrow is another day….
