Toulouse Chillin

Laundry, breakfast, and a short walk around the neighborhood. After over 2 months going non-stop, we decided we could use a bit of a down day.

There are some Japanese gardens in a quaint section of a park around the corner from the hotel. Really nice place to people watch too, everyone was enjoying the park on their lunch break

Ahhh, serenity now baby!
These looked like wind chimes

After the garden, I needed a Pharmacy and usually there are lots of green cross signs until you really need one! I’m fighting a cold, mostly sniffles 🤧 and a very stuffy head.

The ‘Googler’ seemed to be on the fritz again today, showing a pharmacy in a nearby indoor mall. Didn’t find one, but we’ve seen these stores before and finally wanted to see how “normal?”

It was like a dollar store or the 1€ store, and they had everything – except cough drops!

Mr. ‘Normal’ – yea right! 🙂

This was a first for us…drinkables?? Not “normal” for us to see but very interesting & probably yummy too.

Here’s a shout out to my lifelong friend in Michigan. She tells me her grandpa O’Brien married a Frenchwoman. If it was open we’d have checked it out.

We’ll have plenty of time for 🇮🇪 pubs

Tomorrow we bid au revoir to France, first via train, then a bus to Bilbao Spain. 🇪🇸 Country #9; just passing through on our way to Portugal. 🇵🇹. Our Eurorail train passes are good through the 29th so if you’re wondering why we’ve started taking a bus, it’s because it just worked out better time-wise. We would rather spend 2 hours on a nice big coach bus than 4 1/2 to 5 hours on the train to get to the same place! Bus tickets are cheap too; like less than $50 for two tickets. It’s pretty much a no brainer.
