You know when you have a very special person in your life & seeing them again fills your heart with love. When I was visiting my sister in Italy 35+ years ago I was immersed in her beautiful Italian life. That included cherished time with my niece Ellen and nephew Kevin and all of their friends. It was a very special time in my life as I was working out my life.
Maria is Sally’s best friend to this day. Her daughter Rita was only 6 and I formed a special bond with her, we connected and there was tons of playing and sometimes just resting on a tranquil evening after a beautiful meal.

Yesterday we reconnected and Rita has grown into an amazing woman with a beautiful family. Jeff and I took a bus from Antwerp to meet them. She manages a busy life and has an amazing career working at the University of Antwerp and is Dr. Rita with a PHD in biomedical sciences focusing on Alzheimer’s and Dementia. We need more Rita’s in the world.
