No Golf ~ Cliffs

With winds gusting over 40mph and rain sideways we took a rain 😛 check on golf. Disappointing but we are all about Plan B or C or…

We loaded up our wind clothes and Kermit for a drive to the Ring of Kerry. If all works out we’ll leave the dark clouds full of rain behind.

Off to explore the Wild Atlantic Way

First stop Killorglin. We’re noticing many of the villages have lost businesses. Many closed or are for sale. Not sure if it’s the after effects from Covid shutdowns and business revenue lost that couldn’t be recovered or that we (all WE) don’t realize the importance of shopping local and go for the convenience of online shopping. Makes us sad. A good reminder to shop local and online only as a last resort. We did enjoy the walk around town…

Former Church of Ireland

Finders keepers, losers weepers

And perfect business for a man named John Loo (hysterical)

Toilets for Christmas, I think not
Local brew

Lots of laughs today

Bright cars of the Garda (police)

Getting quite good at these
Every day is…

I loved colors of 🇮🇪 on this ball, but no room. When we returned to our home away from home, I received an email inviting me back to college to play in the alumni 🏀 game during homecoming in October. Darn we won’t be home and my since my knees have aged 45 years, it’s all good, but I still have a wicked jump shot.

We golfers would stay clear of this pub and bunkers on the course too

Enough fun, keep driving the Ring…

Stop along the way
Still very very breezy

Onward ~ wait one more stop

WAIT ONE MORE IMPORTANT STOP

Lovely chat with the distiller
Gin to share happy shopper

We were thrilled to hear they now ship to the 🇺🇸. The sad part of our conversation was they can’t get what the heck the USA is going to charge on tariffs (aka taxes on the consumer US). It’s a moving target with no sense or detail or resolve for them to be able to price their products. So they are holding up shipments, which is holding up sales and most importantly their profits. She said it’s absolutely insane and making everything more expensive. FAFO 🇺🇸 😡😡. We know 😡😡 sorry

On to the Kerry Cliffs

Thank you for letting us enjoy them

Hold on to everything, the gusts were topping 43mph and part of the paths were closed so people didn’t blow away into the Atlantic

Insane 💨
Hold onto Kermit 💚
We added a new Skellig puffin to our family, here at the bee hive houses

A few llamas along the trail too

Then lots of interest from this guy

Maybe we’ll make the cover if we pose

What an amazing trip to the Kerry Cliffs. No glitz, not crowded just made a small donation to see gorgeous cliffs that the property owner is kind enough to share with the world.

Back to Ballybunion…

On the WAW

🎶 There was a wild colonial boy, Jack Duggan was his name. He was born and raised in Ireland in a place called Castle Maine. He was his father’s only son, his mother’s pride and joy and dearly did his parents love the wild colonial boy…there’s more to the song but Jeff was spared

Who lived in Castlemaine

Perfect Pub for Jack

Back in our still very windy BallyB home away from home. Ready for dinner and some chillaxing!!!
