Madeira Last Day :-(

We have loved our island visit. It is beyond beautifully breathtaking with so much to see and do. It’s our last day enjoying this enchanting island and Madeira will always be special in a unique way. I hope we’ll be back, so many more trails to explore. A Vespa and a Kayak will definitely be added to our return trip.

This morning we decided to go back up up up and away. We hit a little traffic on the way up…

They were hopping around excited to be free on the road
Our destination today

A few more turns and we’re there

The trail is only open for a short trek but the scenery so far is breathtaking

After we parked the car we started the climb up…Jeff checked and parts had a 30% grade

Yes we have hoodies on, there’s a slight chill at this elevation
The observation deck ahead
Every direction is stunning

It’s a good day for an AMAZING

We are going to miss Madeira, it has been a very very special place to us.

One last walk down the streets of Old Town…this beauty bursts like the sunshine of this very special island

Tomorrow we fly to Lisbon and one sleep then to the Emerald Isle, truly our happy place.

We’ll work on our Schengen Recap; 10 Countries in 90 days and close to, if not over a million steps, thousands of train miles and hearts full of travel bliss. Lucky JEllen
