Last night the temps rose and the rain and sleet started at 4am. We watched the weather and made a break out around 11;00.

We slid to the entrance of the RESO which is Montreals underground city. It wasn’t well marked or mapped and we started our adventure. Then stopped and restarted because we wanted to stay inside if possible.

We did see some interesting architecture

And part of the Berlin Wall

We were directionally challenged because there weren’t many signs. We decided some arrows or marking would help guide everyone. We have lots of ideas to help design how to get around the underground.
We kept seeing the same people circle back. Finally we saw the red lines

There were lots of apartments, high end clothing stores, hotels and lots and lots of eateries.

I did find a florist shop with some funny mini pillows

We stayed underground and on track to the food court. Sadly the Made in Montreal Shop was no longer.

Must have taken some major planning in a city with very long winters

Fun colors so we slide outside…it was like an ice rink with a fine layer of water on the icy sidewalks

Enough so we slid back to the David 800m away.

A few cool buildings on the way

Back in safe and sound. Hope for less slickness tomorrow for our afternoon street art tour.
We can hear the plows and salt trucks so there’s hope for a better day exploring Montreal.
