Day-23 Sailing the Inside Passage

The Norwegian Inside Passage is a protected shipping lane that eventually ends in Siberia. The channels are protected with beautiful bays, islands and islets (very small and often unnamed.)

In the morning we passed Torghatten, a granite dome on the island of Torget and known for its hole or natural tunnel through its Centre.

We are sailing all day today, no stops. A whole day…what to do…

Time for round three of our Pegs & Jokers competition. Girls RULE and we’re 3-0. Time for lunch.

A little hanging on the deck with our nice neighbors. Lori & Greg are on the other side of the ship.

After lunch head to the top to watch our ship squeeze under the bridge…

Bridge ahead
Whew just squeezed under it

The weather is perfect and that means GOLF time…

Ready for putt putt

We tied after 9 holes & the gents sunk a putt to win after the first playoff hole. REMATCH!

Winner winner chicken dinner (actually we’re having lobster tonight)

After our afternoon nap on the top deck

We’re off to the talk for tomorrow’s adventure to the stunning Geiranger, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The preview looks amazing. We’ll be up at 5:30 am as we enter this amazing village that boasts Norways most magnificent natural treasurers. Also the inspiration for the scenery in the movie Frozen.
