The jagged peaks and the crystal clear lakes of the Lofoten Islands stretch 118 miles into the Norwegian Sea from Norway’s coast. The midnight sun continues to illuminate the magic of Norway.
We headed out on a cruise through the fjords and into the quaint town of Reine. The majestic coastline is like nothing we’ve seen before. Pictures paint the scene, enjoy…

Fishing cod & salmon is the main industry in Norway. They have an interesting process for cod stockfish. After they’re caught in the spring they are hung to dry in the cold fresh air for months. Here’s a few pictures of the ways of hanging them with no need for preservatives or salt because of the perfect environment.

Tomorrow is a day sailing the inside passage with one more stop, at Geiranger, before our voyage ends in Bergen. The weather is steadily getting warmer as we cruise south. Not going to miss wearing all that arctic gear every time we head outside!
