Day-19 Honningsvåg, Norway

Sunday June 8, 2025. After another day at sea following our time in Svalbard, we landed the next morning in Honningsvåg located on Magerøya Island.

Honningsvåg

Long known for its fishing and Sámi population (a semi-nomadic people who are known for their reindeer herds), it is probably best known today for its stunning views from Nordkapp (North Cape), the northern most tip of mainland Europe.

We took a stroll around town before we hopped on the bus for our trip out to North Cape.

After about an hour bus ride out to the North Cape we got lucky and the skies started clearing. We took a stroll out to an adjacent point to take in the beautiful scenery and get a little better perspective on the Cape and its almost 1,000 ft drop.

It was quite a view from up there! When we got back to town we did a little more sightseeing before returning to the ship for the evening.
