Saturday we had a nice visit with the Sexton clan. So nice Aidan, Odhran & Meadhbh & Donagh came to Ballybunion for a walk along the cliffs & beach and a fab lunch. Thanks for the very special day.
Later in the day Denise, Clodagh and Liam came for an overnight at our home away from home. We made some fajitas for dinner & after it was time for some serious games of Uno & Scrabble. Tons of fun, lots of laughs and some harmless name calling banter (stupid was thrown around.)
This morning weather didn’t look promising for a cliff & beach walk. But after some tea & porridge the sun came out to visit. Denise hadn’t been to BB since my 40th (WHAT???). She also came here as kids with the her family. Willie, their Dad would drop them off, go tend to the cows and come back hours later. So she had a nice walk down memory lane, it’s grown up so much and changed a great deal but the beach is still magical. A lovely walk a stop at the Marine for a coffee and treat, and home for one final round of Uno before they have to make the trek home. We sure loved having them.
No rest for us there’s a championship Camogie match tonight.
The Newcastle West hurling team with our cousin Mia was playing for the championship.
The lead went back and forth and Newcastle West finished one point better…so exciting to watch & cheer these young ladies on to victory. A great match and both teams played their hearts out.
Back in our home away from home. Happy for our wonderful cousins and how much fun it is to spend time with these special people. They warm our hearts & bring lots of joy to us 💗
