About Us

Another adventure, this time not on bikes!
Forty years ago, Jeff and Ellen met on a softball field in Anchorage, Alaska. In 1992, we relocated to Chicago where Jeff graduated law school. For the next two decades we worked hard and in 2013, retired to Arizona.
Our first big adventure after retiring was to ride our bicycles on historic Route 66 from Flagstaff to Chicago, then upon returning to Arizona, riding from Flagstaff to Santa Monica pier in California, to complete the entirety of Route 66. It was certainly an excellent adventure and bicycling is a wonderful way to travel and explore. If you’re interested in more about that adventure, and a couple others after that one, you can read about them in our blogs at www.2pedalers.wordpress.com here.
In our 40 years together, we have had lots of awesome adventures, often limited, however, by available vacation time and the need to take care of our kids (cats). Last year we lost our Dusty Cat after a long, sweet life and we made the difficult decision to not add another cat to our lives, but to do something we always wanted to do – TRAVEL!!
