Day-12 Reykjavík

We met up with Linda and Tony at breakfast. So nice to catch up. We then headed off for the 2 mile walk to the Perlan Science and Art Museum. Their exhibits let visitors experience Iceland’s natural wonders all in one place.

Two of the biggest exhibits were the ice cave and the Aurora 360 degree northern lights show (sorry no pictures allow for that one).

Great views of the city from the top of Perlan

Then then walked back through town taking in some more of the city’s culture (and food!).

The city concert hall is an amazing piece of architecture, inside and out.

We enjoyed some more flavors of the city, including cinnamon rolls (sorry no pictures, they disappeared in a blur), drinks at an outdoor cafe, and pizza!

A must stop. Pizza was great dude!

It’s been a fabulous adventure here in Iceland. It’s a country very much in touch with its history and very focused on its future. At the current rate of decline, the glaciers are very likely to be gone by 2100; that’s less than one generation away!

We’re all packed and ready to board the ship and start on the next leg of our adventure – Norway. Stay tuned!
