New Years in Montreal

We had a nice brunch and a morning walk in the fresh snowfall that fell overnight.

A lil frosty

A dashing looking English man, holding his pug, is giving a superior stare at Notre-Dame Basilica, symbol of the religious influence on French Canadians.

210 feet away at the northern corner of the edifice, a woman in a Chanel Style suit, poodle against her, shoots an offended look to the Bank of Montreal’s head office, symbol oi English power.

With their masters oblivious to each other, the two dogs on the alert have already sniffed out the opportunity to unite, an ironically touching scene of the cultural distance between English and French Canadians.

Later in the day we had a lil fun at the Illusion Museum

We headed over to the AURA light show at the Notre Dame Basilica. The church was packed and they didn’t allow photos so we all sat and enjoyed the show. It would have been so different so no photos was needed. It was amazing and so cool hearing the amazing pipe organ. Enjoyed it but it didn’t last very long.

Before the show

We had a great day kicking off the new year. One more day exploring Montreal

Happy 2026 the years are flying by…
