We decided to try a local cafe for breakfast and it was excellent. At noon we slid back uphill to meet our tour bus for a half-day trip to Montmorency Falls and Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré from Quebec City.

First ARRÊT – Chocolate!!!

Next up the Montmorency Falls.
At 83 m (272.3′) high, a full 30 m (98.4′) taller than Niagara Falls, the Montmorency Falls are as spectacular a sight in the winter. For some
Perspective, can you count how many people are on the bridge above the falls? 🙂
They are located in a park of the same name only 15 minutes from Old Québec. This is one destination you will not want to miss, as it is where the St. Lawrence River stretches out not far from the base of the cliffs.

Time to move on, it’s the end of this road 🙂

Next stop Saint Anne de Beaupre.

According to Christian tradition, Saint Anne was the mother of Mary, the wife of Joachim and the maternal grandmother of Jesus.
The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré (French: Basilique Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré) is a basilica set along the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, Canada, 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Quebec City, and one of the six national shrines of Canada. It has been credited by the Catholic Church with many miracles of curing the sick and disabled. It is an important Catholic sanctuary, which receives about a half-million pilgrimages each year.

There were nativity scenes from countries around the world.

A informative stop at Chateau Richer where they produce copper art for the world to enjoy. The father created the doors for the cathedral. Now the 4 daughters and niece run the business. Copper is plentiful in the province of Quebec and they are one of the few remaining artists in North America.
We had a nice demonstration and tour of their business.

Last stop our local cafe for dinner. This is one hopping business and fabulous food too.

Tomorrow the train to Montreal ❤️🇨🇦
