Baby it’s cold outside

Train travel is the bomb. We arrived around 9pm, stepped off the train and the Arctic blast hit us

We were a little late but arrived in Quebec after hearing the train the day before was stranded for 12 hours 🤯
Cold but happy to stop moving

The lil freezing train that could

Woke up with a strong desire for a latte & crescent at a local cafe. We headed out & it was 2 below zero 🥶

Is the google “B” back?

Oh yes she is…Google maps can plan the way, but doesn’t help you getting started in the right direction! Luckily, we found a coupla heads to put together to help us find the Soleis Cafe

Super chill not a lot of help
I’d help but I have snow in my mouth

Alas we found it…

Magnificent

We started a walk around Old Town before our 10am Christmas walking tour

Found our buddy Tin Tin

Nobody’s up yet
Watch out
No outside cafes today
Story of Quebec
Yes that’s my breath
Doggies dressed warm
He’s direct descendent of Guillaume Fournier
Lots of steps & hills (slippery ones)

These are everywhere and we’re sorry for the horrible rhetoric, we know you do NOT want to be part of the 🇺🇸 and the tariffs are 🐂 💩

Time for our walking tour with Pierre our awesome guide

We visited the sights of Old Town Quebec and the history and stories of Christmas’ past and present

Notre Dame

A Holy Door … is a visual symbol of internal renewal, which begins with the willing desire to make peace with God, reconcile with your neighbors, restore in yourself everything that has been damaged in the past, and reshape your heart through conversion.

Only opened every 25 years, unless opened by the Popes directive. This is the only one outside of Italy.
The Anglican Church of England

Saw this interesting statue..

This sculpture is a visual interpretation of what is considered one of the most beautiful, poetic passages in the Bible (Hebrews

13:2). The sculpture shows a wearytraveler/pilgrim who visually transforms into an angel when one walks over to the seat.

The sculpture reminds us all that life becomes more beautiful and filled with wonderful surprises when one welcomes the stranger in your community and life.

A constantly reminder when traveling is to stop, look around and often you will be amazed and filled with surprises of wonder.

Lovely walk with stories of the history of Quebec. Christmas cheer is at every turn.

Ursuline
Oh yeah ride later…
Chateau Frontenac

Pierre is treating us to hot chocolate

We needed it Jeffs toes are frozen
Tobogganing since 1846 with speeds of 45 mph
The St Lawrence, the 2nd longest river in the world. (2nd to the Nile)

A perfect tour and now we’re on our own to keep exploring…

Time for a Funicular ride

Off to get some groceries after a stop at the German Christmas market

15,687 steps later and temps dropping…time for a ROMCOM Christmas movie in a warm apartment

No skaters because the Zamboni was hard at work

While everyone waited patiently inside

Not that patient but warmer

Until tomorrow…
