Lagos Portugal

Saturday morning farmers markets here are beyond amazing. The sights, colors, varieties, smells and freshness are incredible. If you stop at a stand and look at the watermelon because you can’t decide, the man pulls out a knife and slices you a piece. When it melts in your mouth, of course it’s going in the bag to enjoy after a long hike in the sun. We filled our bags with fresh everything; figs, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, onions, avocados the size of baseballs, carrots, and olives lots of different olives.

Pictures are not scratch & sniff sorry

If only we had room 🍯 🐝

We decided to take the hop on hop off train. It was adorable and would take us down the beach to Ponte de Piedade, where we can walk back to town on the cliff edges with the beautiful Atlantic below.

Best shirt ever 🐓

Old lighthouse on the point

You can’t describe the breathtaking views, so we’ll just share. There’s a boardwalk built all the way. You can venture off, and we did, to the edges. It was hot and humid with a little breeze and quite lovely when you could find a tree for some shade. Lots of water 💦 to stay hydrated!

Gotta add a selfie – TOURISTS 😜

Happy Beach 🏖️

We have our usual 14,730 +/- steps so we stopped for lunch and a pitcher of sangria. Don’t need much more today, except a cool shower and a big nap in the AC.

Another perfect day in JEllens adventures with a few perfect hibiscus trees on the walk to our home for the week.

Lagos is a lil slice of heaven on earth.
