Brugge Rainy Sunday

Pulled out our raincoats for a walk around this medieval city. In 1089, Bruges became the capital of the County of Flanders. Bruges received its city charter on 27 July 1128, and new walls and canals were built.  Every turn of every corner stopped you in your tracts. Buildings of every design, shape and size; lots of local shops, waffles galore, and chocolatier’s each boasting the best and original inventors of yummy pralines.

First glimpse into the center of town
Welcome to Brugge

Our first prepared colorful local

On our way to the open market
Just maybe they’ll open early
Local grilled braats smell wonderful

The local market covered city blocks in the pouring rain, vendors were hoping to sell their treasurers.

We might need to visit this establishment the next few days. It said “cmon in and meet some interesting birds” with these “birds” in the window

MAYBE NOT

We (Royal we) watched Shark Whisperers on Netflix. First time we’ve had a TV on in months. Great show cool story 🦈

Tomorrow might have more rain here but it felt good, smelled fresh and we Arizonans are soaking it all in. Until tomorrow.
